The Nostalgia Critic by GarthTheDestroyer The Nostalgia Critic by GarthTheDestroyer
Am I seriously the only one who thought of this? I mean, come on!

Also, the show he's reviewing is the Spider-Man cartoon from the 90's. MAN did that show suck. Everything about it was so watered down. Especially characters like the Punisher, Blade and Morbius, shown in the clip attacking Spider-Man. Blade's sword was replaced with a lightsabre, the Punisher never actually killed people or used lethal weapons, making his conflict of ideals with Spidey meaningless, and Morbius...? He doesn't even bite people's necks, instead he has little suction things on his hands. He's almost as lame a vampire as Edward Cullen! ( BA-DUM-BUM!)

The normal characters sucked too. Everyone dressed like it was the 70's, and talked like they were from the 50's (or so I would imagine)

And the voice actor they got for Spider-Man was GOD-AWFUL!! He sounded like such a wuss. Well thank God for "the Spectacular Spider-Man" series. That was the show we deserved back in the 90's instead of that...atrocity! Hey, this critic stuff is easy!

Anyway, enjoy!

A critique on a piece of art involving a critic? Too easy! All joking aside, this is a great tongue in cheek look at both modern day critics and how we perceived them some time back. Looking closer makes this a very interesting comparison between fictional Jay Sherman and Doug Walker. We the viewers enjoy these critics despite the fact they do nothing but look for flaws, issues and problems in our past forms of media. And like the real Nostalgia Critic, this artist has chosen to express their opinion on a nostalgic television series for some of us, and has softened the blow with an odd but humorous hybrid of past and present critics.
What do you think?

I think it's all to do with the awful awful voice director the show had. I don't remember his name, but suffice it to say he's no Andrea Romano. The voice actors hated him because he'd keep tweaking their performances to the point where they'd have to perform their lines in ways no human would ever talk. If you wanna hear Spidey's voice-actor when he's directed competently, play Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time; he voices Miguel O'Hara, Spider-Man 2099.

Both shows are great, The Critic and NC.
Yeah I have to admit I dont realy like spiderman TAS either its biggest problems were the overuse of CG animation repetitive scences and its heavy cencorship the few good things about it were the complex storylines

To tell you the truth, I would actually be willing to tolerate all the changes they made and suspend my disbelief for them if it wasn't for the pacing. That show has the worst pacing I've ever seen in any show. Everyone talks without pause and runs through their lines like they want to finish so they can go use the bathroom. Plus, they cram in so many storylines into a few episodes when it would be better to spread them out.

Also, nice picture. Never thought about that before, but it fits really well.
